LOGAN, Utah - Utah State men's tennis faces a split weekend, first taking on Idaho State in Pocatello on Friday, March 7, at 11 a.m., before returning to the Sports Academy & Racquet Club to host Montana State on Sunday, March 9, at noon.

HISTORY
Utah State is 41-44 all-time against Idaho State but has won 10 straight dating back to 2014, and 19 of the previous 22 matches. USU won, 4-3, over ISU earlier this season in Logan. The Bengals won 31 straight in the series from 1987 through 2001. Outside of this stretch, USU is 40-13 against ISU. This will be only Utah State's second visit to Pocatello in the past 12 years, with the Aggies winning, 5-2, last season at ISU.
Utah State trails in the all-time series against Montana State, 21-19, but the Aggies have won seven straight against the Bobcats, including 7-0 victories in the past two outings in 2022 and 2024. Since 2010, USU is 10-3 against the Bobcats with a 8-2 record at home.

USU went 0-3 against a tough field at the ASU Invite in Tempe, Arizona. The Aggies fell to No. 49 Washington, UTSA and Liberty during the tournament. Eemil Pasanen scoring singles wins for USU at the second and sixth positions, respectively. Utah State then defeated Jacksonville State in a neutral match, 4-3. After dropping the doubles point to the Gamecocks, the Aggies stormed back in singles play with wins from senior Sergi Micó Fenollar, Alkotop and freshmen
Roman Venger and
Dmitri Goubin at the top four positions of the lineup to secure the victory.
TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN
Utah State senior Sergi Micó Fenollar was named the MW Player of the Week after going 4-0 across doubles and singles play in USU's wins over Idaho State and San Diego State. Micó Fenollar won both his singles matches at the No. 1 position, including delivering the clinching point against the Aztecs.
