Jerrod Calhoun announced the signings of forwards Garry Clark and Zach Keller on Monday
. Each will join the Aggies in 2025-26 for their final year of college eligibility.
Garry Clark - 6'8 - Forward - Texas A&M-Corpus Christi
Clark, a 6-foot-8, 210-pound forward, joins Utah State after spending the past two seasons at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, where he appeared in 67 games with 61 starts. Prior to that, he spent his sophomore year at Tarleton State in 2022-23, and his freshman season at Western Texas JC in 2021-22.
"We are excited to welcome Garry to the Aggie family," Calhoun said. "Garry brings a winning pedigree to Utah State, something we greatly value in the recruiting process. His ability to play multiple positions from the forward spot will give our frontcourt a major boost. His physicality and his ability to score and rebound will help him make an immediate impact in the Mountain West."
With the Islanders, Clark earned back-to-back all-Southland Conference first team honors the past two years while leading his team to a pair of 20-plus win campaigns. In 2024-25, he averaged 14.9 points and 7.7 rebounds per contest, leading the squad in both categories. He scored in double-figures in 33 of the team's 34 games and brought down five or more boards 28 times. Clark went for a season-high 22 points twice, including in the conference tournament against Houston Christian. He tallied a league-best eight double-doubles on the year, including recording a season-high 16 rebounds to go along with 15 points at Southeastern Louisiana. He also led the conference in field goal percentage, making 54.9 percent (207-of-377) of his tries from the field.
As a junior in 2023-24, Clark averaged 13.2 points and 8.1 rebounds per outing, once again leading the Islanders in both areas. While starting 30 of the team's 33 games, he posted 23 double-digit scoring outings including a career-best 26 point performance at UTRGV. He led the Southland Conference in field goal percentage, connecting on 53.2 percent (182-of-342) of his shots. Clark also had nine double-doubles and recorded 10-plus rebounds on 13 occasions. He was named the league's player of the week twice and earned NABC All-District First Team recognition.
Prior to his time at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Clark played one season at Tarleton State. There, he made six starts and saw action in 29 games, averaging 4.6 points per contest while shooting 46.8 percent (52-of-111) from the field. He recorded a season-best 20 points to go along with eight rebounds in the team's game against Southern Utah.
Clark's college career began at Western Texas JC, where he averaged a double-double of 18.2 points and 10.7 rebounds while playing 20.6 minutes per contest. He scored in double-figures in 22 of the 23 contests he played in, including a season-best 29 points against Odessa College.
Clark prepped at Cardinal Ritter College Prep in St. Louis, Missouri, where he was a three-year letterwinner. There, he helped lead his squad to the 2020 Class 3 state championship while earning first team all-state accolades as a senior.
Zach Keller - 6'10 - Forward - Utah
Keller, a 6-foot-10 forward, will join the Aggies for his senior season after spending the past year at Utah and beginning his college career with two seasons at Wake Forest.
"We are thrilled to welcome Zach to the Aggie family," Calhoun said. "Zach has competed at the highest levels of college basketball for three seasons in the ACC and Big 12. Zach's skill set fits our style of play perfectly, as a player who can be impactful both inside and out. We look forward to seeing Zach thrive in our system."
The Highlands Ranch, Colorado, native made 28 appearances for the Utes in 2024-25, averaging 9.8 minutes per contest. Keller shot an efficient 56.1 percent (32-of-57) from the floor as a junior and 40.0 percent (6-of-15) from 3-point range. He scored a season-best 12 points while shooting 6-of-7 from the floor against Texas Tech.
Prior to his time at Utah, Keller spent his freshman and sophomore years at Wake Forest. There, he saw action in 44 games with 14 starts across the two seasons. As a sophomore, he made eight starts while playing in 27 games, averaging 1.6 points and 2.0 rebounds per contest. He went for a season-high 10 points while also bringing down five rebounds in 28 minutes of action against Utah. As a freshman, he played 17 games with six starts, averaging 2.3 points in 10.8 minutes per outing. He scored a season-best 11 points in the team's win over La Salle.
Keller prepped at ThunderRidge High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, where he was ranked a four-star recruit as the No. 10 power forward nationally and the No. 76 player overall according to ESPN. There, he was a McDonald's All-American nominee and was named First Team All-State and the Colorado 5A Player of the Year his senior season after leading the Grizzlies to a 25-3 record and a trip to the state title game. As a junior in 2020-21, he helped guide ThunderRidge to a Colorado state 5A title and a 13-2 overall record.
