LOGAN, Utah — Utah State track and field freshman Ayodele Ojo and sophomore Breanna Raven were named the Mountain West Men's Freshman of the Week and Women's Field Athlete of the Week, respectively, as announced by the league on Tuesday.

Ojo claimed individual titles in the 100 meters and the 200 meters at the USU-hosted Aggie Invitational this past weekend. His 100-meter time of 10.27 moved him from eighth to fourth in Utah State history in the event, while his winning time in the 200 meters lofted him into ninth all-time. Ojo's time in the 100 meters is the second-fastest in the conference this season, the fastest of any MW freshman, and the 36th-ranked in the NCAA West region. The product of Waxahachie, Texas, is the first Aggie to rank in the school's top-10 in both the 100 and 200 meters since All-Americans Parker Bluth and Nic Bowens in 2016.

Raven had three performances at the Aggie Invitational that ranked in the top-10 in school history, the most of any Aggie athlete in a single day this season. She kicked off her string of success with a long jump of 6.11 meters (20-0.5) to win the competition. The Springfield, Oregon, native moved from sixth to second in USU history in the event, passing Olympian Chari Hawkins' mark by a centimeter, and now ranks 52nd in the NCAA West region in the event. Next, she ran the third leg of the women's 4x100-meter relay, helping the team to a first-place time of 45.61 that ranks second in Aggie history. She capped off the day with her first collegiate 100-meter race, where she finished second in a time of 11.87 that now ranks ninth in USU history.

Ojo and Raven each claimed their first career MW weekly accolades. The pair join junior Logan Hammer and sophomore Walker Cole as Aggies to earn weekly honors this outdoor season. Hammer and freshmen Daniel Chase, Abbie Scott, Presley Gray and Diego Aguirre-Stewart earned conference accolades during the indoor track and field season.

Utah State will travel south this week for the Robison Invitational in Provo, Utah, on Wednesday-Friday, April 30-May 2.
