LOGAN, Utah – Utah State track & field had 11 student-athletes selected to the 2025 Outdoor Track & Field All-Mountain West team, it was announced by the conference on Wednesday. The top three finishers in each event at the MW Outdoor Championships earn all-conference honors.
Utah State's 11 honorees are tied with Fresno State for fourth-most in the conference, only behind New Mexico (25), Colorado State (20) and San José State (12).
On the men's side, graduate
Brennan Benson, senior
Nate Franz, juniors
Logan Hammer,
Marshall Rasmussen and
Javin Richards, sophomores
Landon Bott,
Walker Deede and
Joseph Turner, and freshmen
Ayodele Ojo and
Taite Priestley earned all-MW honors, while sophomore
Shelby Jensen came away with the distinction on the women's side. Benson, Franz, Hammer, Rasmussen, Bott and Priestley each earned all-conference honors during the indoor season.
Bott earned Utah State's first gold medal of the 2025 Mountain West Championships, winning the men's 800 meters with a time of 1:49.68. Benson claimed the bronze medal with his third-place time of 1:51.59.
Hammer won his third-straight Mountain West outdoor title, and fifth overall, in the men's pole vault, clearing 5.65 meters (18-6.5) to break his own Mountain West championship record. Rasmussen won the silver medal, his second of the 2025 season, with his clearance of 5.11 meters (16-9.25), while Richards completed the Aggies' podium sweep with his third-place jump of 4.96 meters (16-3.25).
Franz won the silver medal in the men's discus with a throw of 57.13 meters (187-5.25). Turner joined him on the discus podium with his bronze-medal mark of 56.37 meters (184-11.25).
Jensen won her silver medal in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing in a school-record time of 9:48.44.
Deede claimed Utah State's first medal of the conference championships, winning silver in the men's javelin with a throw of 68.72 meters (225-5).
Ojo earned the first medal of his young Utah State career, winning silver in the men's 100 meters in 10.32.
Priestley finished in a two-way tie for bronze with his clearance of 2.09 meters (6-10.25).
Utah State's individual athletes will await their postseason fate, with invited athletes set to compete at the NCAA West First Rounds in College Station, Texas, from Wednesday to Saturday, May 28-31.
