LOGAN, Utah – Utah State head women's basketball coach Wesley Brooks announced the signing of Andjela Marojevic on Thursday.
"Andjela is another player who fits our position-less style of play by being able to play the 2-, 3- and 4-spot," Brooks said. "She has a motor that never stops, which will allow her to excel in our system in transition and in the half-court attacking the rim. She is a feisty defender who loves to pressure the ball and does not mind doing the dirty work and doing whatever it takes to win."
Marojevic most recently played for ZKK Partizan 1953 Beograd in Serbia. Competing in the WABA and the Serbia-1 ZLS, Marojevic appeared in 37 total games and averaged 8.9 points and 4.2 rebounds per contest. She scored a season-high 18 points against Ras and narrowly missed a double-double with nine rebounds. Marojevic recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds against Kraljevo. She scored in double-figures in 20 games for Partizan and was named to the Eurobasket.com WABA All-Newcomers Team after the 2024 season. Prior to Partizan, Marojevic previously played for ZKK Vrbas Medela for four seasons where she started her basketball career, winning two regional championships and twice being named MVP. She also led her hometown high school team to both a regional and international championship. Marojevic also helped the team twice qualify for the national championship.
Marojevic, a 5-foot-10 forward from Vrbas, Serbia, also competed for Serbia in the U20 Women's EuroBasket and European Championships, helping the team to a fourth-place finish in the European Championships. Across 14 combined games in the two tournaments, Marojevic averaged 7.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.
