LOGAN, Utah – Utah State head women's basketball coach Wesley Brooks announced on Tuesday the hiring of Jasmine Hotchkins-Parker as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.

"We are excited to have Jasmine on board," Brooks said. "She is a well-organized individual and understands how we want to recruit. She is well-known and well-connected on the west coast, and will be invaluable in finding and connecting to the players that we are looking for. We are excited for her to head our recruiting efforts as our new recruiting coordinator."

Hotchkins-Parker spent the 2024-25 season as the director of operations for San Diego State, helping the Aztecs to a Mountain West Tournament championship and a berth in the NCAA tournament, both firsts for the program since 2012. SDSU's 25 wins in 2024-25 tied for the third most in program history, and 15 of those wins came away from home, which set a school record.

Before joining SDSU, Hotchkins-Parker was the director of operations and an assistant coach at Pepperdine, where she played a vital role in supporting effective game strategies and player development. She was instrumental in streamlining logistical operations, managing apparel and equipment, and coordinating team travel. Additionally, she was the guards' positional coach, responsible for workouts, film breakdown, and scouting.

Prior to that, Hotchkins-Parker was the director of operations at Portland where she managed scheduling, equipment orders, and travel arrangements for the women's basketball program. She also coordinated community service activities and managed the camp LLC's financial and administrative tasks.

Hotchkins-Parker also served as the Director of Girls' Basketball and Player Development Coach at Showcase Basketball in Burbank, California, where she focused on the growth of young athletes through basketball fundamentals and strategic training methodologies. Prior to that, she held a teaching role as an AP Psychology instructor at Chaminade College Preparatory.

Hotchkins-Parker played collegiately at East Tennessee State and Eastern New Mexico, where she earned honorable mention in the Lone Star Conference and helped lead her team to a conference championship during the 2016-2017 season.

Jasmine holds a master's degree in kinesiology from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, where she graduated magna cum laude. While there, she served as a graduate assistant for the women's basketball team during the 2019-2020 season. During her time at TAMU-CC, she focused on studying and conducting research with student-athletes, exploring key areas such as protein intake in women's basketball players to highlight the importance of nutrition in sports. She also researched athletic identity, emphasizing the need to prepare student-athletes for life after sports. Her bachelor's degree is in psychology from Eastern New Mexico, with a minor in nutrition.
