LOGAN, Utah – Utah State head women's basketball guard Marina Asensio will represent Spain at the upcoming FIBA 3x3 U21 Nations League in Bratislava, Slovakia, on June 24-26, and in Vilnius, Lithuania, on July 7-9.
Asensio will also take part in three training camps with the Spanish 3x3 national program in advance of the Nations League appearance.
Spain will be one of six nations appearing in the tournament and enters as the highest-seeded team in a field which also includes the Netherlands, Israel, Lithuania, Slovakia and Turkey. Games will be available for streaming via
the FIBA3x3 - The Basketball Channel on YouTube.
Asensio has previously represented Spain in the 5x5 format at all youth levels from U12 through U20 and won silver medals with the Spanish 5x5 National Team at the U18 and U20 Championships in 2022 and 2024, respectively. At the 2024 U20 European Championships, Asensio led all players in the tournament with a 3-point percentage of over 44 percent, averaging 7.1 points and 2.1 made 3s per game.
