LOGAN, Utah - Utah State men's tennis had four players named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) 2025 Scholar-Athlete list, while the team also recorded a team GPA of 3.40 to earn ITA All-Academic Team honors.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, an athlete must have maintained a GPA of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form. Requirements for programs to be named an ITA All-Academic Team included a team GPA of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale).
Senior Sergi Micó Fenollar earned the award after posting a 3.53 GPA while majoring in kinesiology. On the court, Micó Fenollar posted a 13-8 singles record, all at the No. 1 position, including a victory over the nation's 116th-ranked singles player in Boise State's Jett Middleton. Micó Fenollar was named to the All-Mountain West Singles Team for the second year in a row.
Junior
Mohammad Alkotop received the recognition for posting a 3.78 GPA while majoring in finance. Alkotop posted an 18-2 singles record this year, tying for the second-most singles wins in a single dual match season in program history. Also going 8-8 in doubles, Alkotop was named to the All-MW Singles and Doubles Teams this season. Alkotop was selected as an Academic All-America finalist and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members.
Sophomore
Keanu Rigby was named to the Academic All-District Team after earning a 3.49 GPA while majoring in finance. Returning to the team after playing as a freshman in 2021, Rigby was a fixture in the doubles lineup, recording a 6-8 record alongside Micó Fenollar. Rigby also played during the fall tournament season and tallied nine total wins.
Freshman
Eemil Pasanen also earned the honor after recording a 3.88 GPA while majoring in Intensive English Studies. On the court, Pasanen joined the Aggies before the 2025 dual match season and finished with 4-6 and 3-3 records in singles and doubles play, respectively.
