LOGAN, Utah – Under the direction of first year head coach Bronco Mendenhall, Utah State football will begin fall camp on Wednesday, July 30. All practices will be closed to the public. Media availability for coaches and players will occur immediately following practice.
Fans are invited to interact with the team on Saturday, Aug. 16, from 12:30 to 3 p.m., as part of its annual Football Family Fun Day, which is sponsored by Everlight Solar.
The team will not be holding a practice during Football Family Fun Day, but there will be a youth clinic on the field, along with a variety of fan activities on the concourse including autographs from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Other activities include:

* Face painter

Inside The Roster
Utah State returns four starters (O-1, D-3) as part of 18 returning letter winners (O-10, D-8) from last year's team. USU also welcomes back seven redshirts (O-4, D-3) and 14 more players (O-8, D-6) that were members of the program in 2024.

Broc Lane, senior DT
Gabriel Iniguez Jr. and Larsen. Iniguez earned honorable mention All-MW honors last season, while Lane was an honorable mention selection in 2023. Larsen garnered first-team All-MW accolades in 2023 and was named a CFN Honorable Mention All-American. In 2022, he was named second-team All-MW and a CFN Honorable Mention Freshman All-American. Larsen was also named to the preseason All-MW team this fall.

Newcomers
Utah State welcomes 70 newcomers to the program in 2025, which includes 29 four-year transfers (O-11, D-14, S-4), 14 junior college transfers (O-3, D-9, S-2), and 27 high school players (O-14, D-12, S-1). Those 70 newcomers are made up of 28 offensive players, 35 defensive players and seven specialists. Collectively, the 29 four-year transfers joining the program have combined for 416 games played and 115 starts during their careers.

John Shepard, sophomore LS
Hyrum Hatch and sophomore S
Titan Saxton. Avinger was an honorable mention All-MW selection last year at New Mexico. Gayer earned All-America Defensive Player of the Year honors from JCgridiron.com in 2024 at the College of San Mateo. Shepard was named a California Community College Athletic Association First-Team All-American and CFN Third-Team All-American last year at San Diego Mesa College. Hatch earned CFN Honorable Mention Freshman All-American accolades with the Lobos in 2024. Saxton was named a National Junior College Athletic Association Second-Team All-American last year at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah.
Fall Schedule
Utah State opens the 2025 season on Saturday, Aug. 30, as it hosts UTEP at 5:30 p.m., and begins Mountain West play at home against Air Force on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 7:45 p.m.
