LOGAN, Utah – Utah State volleyball middle blocker
Lauren Larkin has been named the Mountain West Freshman Volleyball Player of the Week the conference announced on Monday.
Larkin, a redshirt freshman from St. George, Utah, led USU with eight total blocks during a pair of sweeps at New Mexico and Grand Canyon last week. Larkin averaged 1.33 blocks per set across the two matches and recorded 10 kills on a .500 hitting percentage. She set career-highs with seven kills and a .700 hitting percentage against UNM, also adding two blocks. Against the Lopes, Larkin led the Aggies with six blocks, including four during the second set alone, and also added three kills and a dig.
It is Larkin's first time receiving a weekly award from the Mountain West. It is USU's third weekly award from the MW this season after Mara Štiglic and
Tierney Barlow were both named Offensive Player of the Week earlier this season.

The Aggies return to Logan for their first home conference matches of 2025. Utah State will host San José State on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m. (MT), before facing Boise State on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 1 p.m. (MT).
