Aggies Return to the Spectrum for Showdown with Nevada

• Utah State continues Mountain West play as it hosts Nevada at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 8 p.m.

• The Aggies enter the contest 14-1. This is tied for the best 15-game start in program history, and is the sixth time in program history USU has opened a year 14-1 or better. It's also the third-straight 14-1 or better start for the team. 

• USU is 5-0 in league play, most recently earning a 93-68 win at Boise State on Saturday.

• Utah State made its season debut in both the AP Top 25 and USA Today Coaches polls, ranking No. 23 and No. 24, respectively. This is the first time in program history the team has been ranked in three-consecutive seasons. 

• The Aggies rank No. 2 in the nation in field goal percentage at .532. 

• Individually, senior guard MJ Collins Jr. leads the MW in field goal percentage (.571) and ranks eighth in the country in 3-point percentage (.474). He also leads the league in scoring average at 20.5 points per game, scoring 20-plus points nine times this year. 

• USU currently ranks No. 13 in the NET Rankings, its highest ranking since 2022.

• Junior guard Mason Falslev ranks 11th in the nation in steals per game with 2.67. He is one of just five players in the country averaging at least 15 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals per game.

• Utah State currently ranks in the top 50 in the nation in several major statistical categories, including field goal percentage (2nd - .532), scoring margin (11th - +20.0), steals (12th - 10.0), assists (13th - 18.8),  winning percentage (14th - .933), 3-point percentage (15th - .389), turnovers forced (21st - 15.60), turnover margin (28th - +3.9), scoring offense (31st - 87.0), fastbreak points (34th - 16.13), assist/turnover ratio (34th - 1.60), scoring defense (39th - 67.0), bench points (39th - 31.80), rebounding margin (45th - +6.7) and field goal percentage defense (46th - .402).

• Wednesday's game will be the 70th all-time matchup between Utah State and Nevada, the 10th-most played rivalry in program history. The Aggies lead the all-time series 43-26, with wins in eight of the past 11 matchups. USU leads the series in Logan 26-7.
