• No. 23 Utah State continues Mountain West play as it returns to the road, traveling to Phoenix, Arizona, to take on Grand Canyon on Saturday, Jan. 17, at 12:30 p.m.
• The Aggies enter the contest 15-1. This is tied for the best 16-game start in program history, and is the fifth time in program history USU has opened a year 15-1 or better. It's also the third-straight 15-1 or better start for the team, after opening each of the past two years 16-1.
• USU is 6-0 in league play, most recently earning a 71-62 win over Nevada on Wednesday.
• Utah State made its season debut in both the AP Top 25 and USA Today Coaches polls this week, ranking No. 23 and No. 24, respectively. This is the first time in program history the team has been ranked in three-consecutive seasons.
• Through his first 50 games at USU, head coach Jerrod Calhoun is 41-9, tied for the best coaching start in program history.
• The Aggies rank No. 2 in the nation in field goal percentage at .528.
• Individually, senior guard MJ Collins Jr. leads the MW in field goal percentage (.560) and ranks 10th in the country in 3-point percentage (.459). He also leads the league in scoring average at 20.1 points per game, scoring 20-plus points nine times this year.
• USU currently ranks No. 15 in the NET Rankings, and is No. 22 in KenPom.
• Junior guard Mason Falslev ranks 11th in the nation in steals per game with 2.63. He is one of just seven players in the country averaging at least 15 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals per game.
• Utah State currently ranks in the top 55 in the nation in several major statistical categories, including field goal percentage (2nd - .528), scoring margin (10th - +19.3), steals (12th - 9.9), winning percentage (14th - .938), assists (15th - 18.6), 3-point percentage (17th - .386), turnovers forced (23rd - 15.50), turnover margin (29th - +3.8), fastbreak points (29th - 16.06), scoring defense (31st - 66.7), assist/turnover ratio (33rd - 1.59), field goal percentage defense (33rd - .398), scoring offense (35th - 86.0), bench points (46th - 30.88) and rebounding margin (53rd - +6.0).
• Saturday's game will be the first-ever matchup between Utah State and Grand Canyon.
