CHANDLER, Arizona - Utah State men's tennis closed out its weekend in Chandler, Arizona, on Sunday afternoon, falling 6-1 to Arizona State in a neutral-site dual match at the Chandler Tennis Center.
 
Doubles 
Beginning in doubles play, freshman Jakub Medved and sophomore Eliot Nobel competed in a close 6-4 match against Bor Artnak and Ofek at the top spot in the lineup. The Sun Devils secured the doubles point with a win at the No. 2 spot, while senior Jean-Baptiste Badon and sophomore Eemil Pasanen led 5-4 at the third position and were playing for match point before it was left unfinished.

Singles 
In singles play, sophomore Xavier Calvelo secured USU's lone point with a 7-6 (4), 6-1 win at No. 2 singles over ASU's Shu Matsuoka. Senior Jean-Baptiste Badon  battled in a three-set match at the No. 1 position while sophomore Roman Venger also pushed his match at the fourth position to three sets. Several other matches featured close sets across the lineup, continuing early-season momentum.
