• Utah State begins a two-game road trip on Tuesday, Jan. 6, as it travels to Colorado Springs, Colorado, to take on Air Force in a Mountain West Conference matchup.
• The Aggies enter the contest 12-1. This is tied for the best 13-game start in program history, and is the sixth time in program history USU has opened a year 12-1 or better. It's also the third-straight 12-1 or better start for the team.
• USU is 3-0 in league play, most recently earning a 96-78 win over San José State on Saturday.
• In Utah State's win over San José State, freshman guard Elijah Perryman went for 13 points and 10 assists with just a single turnover. This was the first double-double by an Aggie freshman since 2019.
• USU currently ranks No. 19 in the NET Rankings. The Aggies are the highest-ranked MW squad and are one of seven teams from the league in the top-100. USU is also receiving votes in both the AP Poll and USA Today Coaches Poll.
• Senior guard MJ Collins Jr. ranks 32nd in the nation and leads the Mountain West with 20.2 points per game. He's scored 20-plus points in seven of 13 games this year.
• As a team, Utah State currently ranks eighth in the nation in field goal percentage at 52.5 percent. The Aggies also rank 15th in 2-point field goal percentage (.605) and 15th in effective field goal percentage (.581).
• Utah State currently ranks in the top 75 in the nation in several major statistical categories, including field goal percentage (8th - .525), steals (10th - 10.5), winning percentage (17th - .923), turnovers forced (18th - 16.08), scoring margin (22nd - +18.3), fastbreak points (26th - 16.85), assists (30th - 18.5), 3-pointer field goal percentage (32nd - .378), turnover margin (33rd - +3.7), scoring offense (54th - 85.6), scoring defense (55th - 67.3), bench points (56th - 31.31), rebounding margin (56th - +6.5), field goal percentage defense (59th - .404) and assist/turnover ratio (72nd - 1.49).
• Tuesday's game will be the 37th all-time matchup between Utah State and Air Force, a series which began in 1963. The Aggies lead the all-time series 29-7, including a 12-7 record at the academy. USU has won eight-straight and 11 of the past 12 matchups overall.
