Asher Cunningham was named the Walter Camp Foundation National Defensive Player of the Week and the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week following his performance against Washington State on Oct. 9. Cunningham had a career-high 17 tackles, which included a career-high-tying 2.0 tackles for loss to go along with 0.5 sacks, while adding a career-best two forced fumbles and a career-high-tying one fumble recovery. Both of his forced fumbles were in the second half, which directly lead to a pair of touchdowns as USU rallied from a 16-3 halftime deficit.

Eli Wood was added to The Biletnikoff Award Watch List after six games this season. Wood ranks second in the Pac-12 and 15th in the nation in receiving touchdowns with five (0.83 pg), second in the Pac-12 and 23rd in the nation in receptions (6.0 pg), second in the Pac-12 and 33rd in the nation in receiving (78.7 ypg), and 10th in the Pac-12 in all-purpose yards (78.7 ypg).
