LOGAN, Utah – Ahead of Utah State's inaugural season as a member of the Pac-12 Conference, the guard duo of Mason Falslev and Dallin Hall were each named to the Pac-12 Preseason Impact Players List. Additionally, the Aggies were picked second in the league's preseason media poll.
Each of the league's nine teams were given two spots on the Impact List, with players selected by their respective head coaches.
Falslev, a senior from Benson, Utah, is the reigning Mountain West Player of the Year after what was the strongest statistical season of his career in 2025-26. He averaged 16.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.9 steals per game last year, earning all-conference recognition for the second-straight year, while also being named a CSC Academic All-American. During his career, Falslev has totaled 1,469 points, 570 rebounds, 317 assists and 192 steals in 104 career games. Additionally, he was recently named to the Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Top 20 Preseason Watch List.
Hall, a native of Plain City, Utah, joins the Aggies as a graduate transfer this year after beginning his career with three seasons at BYU then playing last year at Virginia. In 2025-26, he led a 30-6 Cavaliers squad in minutes played, starting all 36 contests while helping the team to an ACC runner-up finish. He led the conference with a 3.27 assist-turnover ratio, totaling 157 assists with just 48 turnovers. While at BYU, he made 61 starts across three seasons, helping lead the Cougars to the NCAA Tournament twice, including a trip to the Sweet 16 in 2023-24. That season, he was named All-Big 12 Honorable Mention as he averaged 9.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game.
In the Pac-12 Preseason Poll, voted on by a panel of league media, the Aggies were picked to finish second behind only unanimous league favorite Gonzaga. San Diego State was selected third, followed by Colorado State, Oregon State, Boise State, Texas State, Washington State and Fresno State. The Aggies have exceeded their preseason projection in seven of the past nine seasons, including last year in the Mountain West when they were picked second and won the league title outright.
