LOGAN, Utah – Utah State (1-4, 0-1 Pac-12) continues play this weekend as it hosts Washington State (1-4, 0-1 Pac-12) in its first-ever Pac-12 home game on Friday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m. (MT). KICKOFF COVERAGE
• Utah State is 2-4 all-time against Washington State, which includes a 0-1 record all-time in Logan. The two teams last played one another on Dec. 22, 2025, in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl with the Cougars posting a 34-21 win. This will be the first-ever conference game between the two programs.
• Utah State is 1-1 inside Maverik Stadium this season and 6-2 (.750) at home under head coach Bronco Mendenhall. Overall, USU is 59-27 (.686) in its last 86 home games and 171-123 (.582) all-time inside Maverik Stadium.
• Utah State is the only team in the nation this season that has played three road games against nationally ranked teams in No. 19 Washington, No. 17 Utah, and No. 22 Boise State. In fact, the only other FBS team that has played three nationally ranked teams this year is Ole Miss with a home game, road game and neutral site game.
• Utah State's four losses this year have come against teams that are currently 15-4 on the season in Idaho State (4-1), Washington (3-2), Utah (4-0) and Boise State (4-1). That combined 72.2 winning percentage ranks as the 16th-highest in the nation.
• According to ESPN's FPI, Utah State has had the 24th toughest schedule in the nation through the first six weeks of the season.
• Utah State's defense has allowed 27 points following 11 Aggie turnovers thus far this year for an average of 2.45 points allowed per turnover. USU has committed 12 turnovers on the season with one being a pick six.

SERIES vs. WASHINGTON STATE
• Utah State and Washington State will be meeting for the seventh time this weekend with the Cougars holding a 4-2 advantage in the series. Washington State won the first two games in the series in 1949 (33-0) and 1950 (46-6), followed by consecutive wins from Utah State in 1961 (34-14) and 2021 (26-23). WSU has won the last two games in 2024 (49-28) and 2025 (34-21) in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. This will be just the second time the two teams have played one another in Logan as the Cougars posted a 46-6 road win in 1950.
