ABOUT STEVE T. REEDER
First held in 2016, the Steve T. Reeder Memorial Invitational honors the legacy of longtime USU distance coach Steve T. Reeder, who spent 35 years coaching the Aggies. The race will be held at the Steve and Dona Reeder Cross Country Course at USU's Innovation Campus Wellness Park, which has hosted the NCAA Mountain Regional Championships twice (2016, 2017) and the Mountain West Championships once (2019).
IN THE RANKINGS
The Aggie men enter their second week ranked No. 28, and third week overall, in the USTFCCCA National Coaches Poll. They remain sixth in the Mountain Regional standings, while the women's team is eighth in the leaderboards. The Mountain Region remains one of the country's most competitive, featuring three teams in the women's top five and six teams in the men's top 30, the most of any region.
LAST RACE
Junior
Jayden Holdsworth excelled at the Idaho State-hosted Bengal Invitational, finishing as the top collegian in the 8k race to lead the Aggies to a flawless 15-point victory. The women's team came second in the 5k with freshmen
Mia Taylor and
Reese Garnica each setting personal bests to finish as the Aggies' top two performers.
STACKING WINS
Utah State has had an impressive start to the 2026 season, securing three individual and two team wins in a single weekend. Both squads won the home-hosted Utah State Alumni Challenge, led by seniors
Natalie Swain and
Jedidiah Megargel in their respective races. That same weekend, senior
Joshua McKee stood atop the podium at the Mike Baumer XC Classic, winning the 5K.
