RUNNING IT BACK
Utah State returns nine all-MW performers from the 2025 outdoor season as the Aggie men placed third at the MW Outdoor Championships with 114.5 points and the women finished ninth with 38 points.

Senior Logan Hammer his third-straight conference title in the men's pole vault with a meet-record clearance of 5.65 meters (18-6.5). Junior Landon Bott won the men's 800 meters with a time of 1:49.68, adding the outdoor gold to his indoor gold from the 2025 indoor championships. Seniors Marshall Rasmussen and Javin Richards completed the Aggie sweep of the pole vault podium with respective marks of 5.11 meters (16-9.25) and 4.96 meters (16-3.25). In the throws group, junior Walker Deede won his second-straight MW silver medal in the javelin with a throw of 68.72 meters (225-5) and junior Joseph Turner uncorked a throw of 56.37 meters (184-11) to win bronze in the discus. Two then-freshmen added to the men's medal count with Ayodele Ojo, Jr. winning silver in the 100 meters in 10.32 and Taite Priestley winning bronze in the high jump with a leap of 2.09 meters (6-10.25). On the women's side, junior Shelby Jensen won silver in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:48.44.
 
INDOOR SEASON BY THE NUMBERS
– Utah State track and field athletes posted 64 performances that ranked in the top 10 in school history during the indoor track and field season. Junior Claire Petersen led the women's team with six top-10 marks in the 60-meter hurdles and 4x400-meter relay, while six Aggie men co-led their squad with three top-10 performances each. The women's team posted 34 top-10 performances, paced by 18 top-10 times from the sprint group. The men's team was close behind with 30 top-10 performances, led by the distance squad's tally of 12 top-10 times.
 
– Utah State had 10 athletes earn all-MW honors at the 2026 Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships. Hammer won an individual gold medal in the men's pole vault. Bott (DMR), senior Ernest Green (DMR), sophomore Jayden Holdsworth (DMR), freshman Tayshaun Ogomo (800 meters), Ojo (60 meters) and freshman Caleb White (DMR) claimed runner-up finishes for the Aggie men. Priestley (high jump), Rasmussen (pole vault) and Richards (heptathlon) each earned bronze medals to complete the Aggies' all-conference roster.
 
– Aggie athletes broke or tied eight school records during the 2026 indoor campaign. Utah State opened the 2025-26 indoor season with a record-setting performance at the BYU December Invitational from Dec. 10-11, as Hammer, Richards and freshman Adia Ross broke school records in the men's pole vault (5.63 meters (18-5.5), men's heptathlon (5,536 points) and women's 60 meters (7.48), respectively. Ojo became the fourth Aggie to set a school record in 2025-26 when he ran the 60 meters in 6.55 at the Snake River Open on Jan. 16, topping both the Utah State record of 6.61, set in 2014, and the MW record of 6.60, set in 2015. Bott broke the men's 800-meter school record in front of the Aggie faithful at the Roman Ruiz Speed and Power Invitational on Jan. 30, crossing the line in 1:47.79. Three records fell on the final weekend of the regular season, as Jensen broke the program record in the women's 3,000 meters with a time of 9:21.31 and Holdsworth ran USU's first-ever four-minute mile of 3:59.90 at the Husky Classic while Bott broke his own 800-meter record by finishing in 1:47.55 at the Tyson Invitational. At the MW indoor championships, sophomore Shay Jones tied the USU record in the women's 400 meters of 53.05.
 
– Three USU men qualified for the 2026 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships, tying the most entries in Utah State history and outpacing all but one Mountain West institution. Bott (800 meters), Hammer (pole vault) and Ojo (60 meters) all earned Second-Team All-American honors.
 
LAST MEET
Utah State concluded its indoor season by capturing one gold medal and seven podium finishes at the 2026 Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships in Reno, Nevada, from February 26-28. The USU men finished fifth out of eight schools with 80.5 points and the women placed eighth out of 12 teams with 37.5 points. Aggie athletes had 10 performances from the three-day meet that ranked in the top 10 all-time in Utah State history. Hammer won his second-straight Mountain West title in the men's pole vault with a clearance of 5.50 meters (18-0.5).
