LAWRENCE, Kan. – Utah State softball (10-13, 0-0 MW) fell to Kansas, 14-0 in five innings, at Arrocha Ballpark on Saturday.

USU fell behind early and never got their offense going in a 14-0 defeat to Kansas in five innings.
The Jayhawks scored 10 runs on nine hits, including two home runs, in the bottom of the first inning. Kansas hit two more long balls in the third inning to take a 13-0 lead.
Utah State got traffic on the basepaths in the fourth, with freshman infielder
Jazmin Ramirez and senior outfielder
Kya Pratt drawing two-out walks, but the Aggies couldn't cash in. Kansas tacked on another run in the bottom of the frame on an RBI double, extending their lead to 14-0. USU couldn't avoid the run rule, going down in order in the top of the fifth.
Freshman
Jordyn Lish started the game in the circle and faced the first five batters, allowing four earned runs, before being replaced by senior
Rylie Pindel. The Las Vegas native pitched 0.2 innings while conceding five earned runs. Senior
Denay Smith replaced her in the circle, going 1.1 innings and allowing four earned runs. Seniors Sydney Saldaña and
Carly Limosnero finished the game in the circle for the Aggies, with Saldaña allowing one earned run in 1.1 innings and Limosnero pitching 0.2 scoreless innings.
