SAN DIEGO, California - Utah State men's tennis continued its dominant run with a 4-0 sweep of San Diego State on Thursday at the Aztec Tennis Center.

Doubles 
The Aggies battled through doubles play to secure the opening point with wins at the second and third positions. After dropping the match at the top spot, senior Jean-Baptiste Badon and sophomore Dmitri Goubin responded with a strong 6-2 victory at No. 2 doubles to even things up. Sophomores Eliot Nobel and Roman Venger then sealed the doubles point for Utah State with a 6-3 win at the third position.

Singles
Utah State carried its momentum into singles play, earning straight-set victories at the first, second and fourth positions to clinch the sweep. At No. 1 singles, senior Jean-Baptiste Badon led the way with a 7-6 (1), 6-4 win before sophomore Xavier Calvelo followed at the second position with a 7-5, 6-1 victory to give the Aggies a 3-0 advantage. Sophomore Eliot Nobel then secured the match for Utah State with a 7-6 (2), 6-2 win at No. 4 singles.
All three remaining matches were left unfinished. Sophomore Roman Venger claimed his opening set, 6-4, at the third position and was nearing the finish in the second set when play was halted. At No. 5 singles, freshman Jakub Medved split the first two sets, 3-6, 6-4, and was early in the third set at the time the match was clinched. Sophomore Dmitri Goubin also earned a first-set win, 6-3, at the sixth position before his match was left unfinished in the second set.
