LOGAN, Utah - Utah State men's tennis player Jakub Medved earned Freshman of the Week honors, the conference announced on Wednesday. The award is Medved's fourth time receiving the honor this season.

Medved posted a singles and doubles win during USU's 7-0 win at Weber State over the weekend. Medved first teamed with sophomore Xavier Calvelo to record a 6-2 win at the top spot in the lineup to help the Aggies earn the doubles point. In singles, Medved posted a 6-2, 6-7 (6), 1-0 (10-4) victory at the fourth position to complete the 7-0 sweep for USU.

Utah State readies for the Mountain West Tournament at the Darling Tennis Center in Las Vegas on Wednesday through Friday, April 22-24. The top-seeded Aggies will begin in the first round against eighth-seeded Nevada on Wednesday at 2 p.m. (MT).
