LOGAN, Utah - Utah State had five men's tennis players receive all-Mountain West recognition, it was announced Tuesday as the league released its all-conference teams. Senior Jean-Baptiste Badon and sophomores Xavier Calvelo and Roman Venger each earned spots on the All-MW Singles Team while Badon and sophomore Dmitri Goubin plus Calvelo and freshman Jakub Medved were named to the All-MW Doubles Team.

Calvelo and Medved posted a 9-3 record as a doubles duo this season while playing exclusively at the No. 1 position. The pair has gone 3-3 during conference play and has clinched the doubles point on three occasions this season.

Badon and Goubin have compiled a 9-1 record in doubles this season, including a 5-1 mark during conference play, with every match coming at the second position of the lineup. The duo has recorded the clinching point for doubles a team-high six times this season. Goubin also received all-MW honors in doubles play last season as a freshman.

Badon has also led the Aggies in singles this season, posting a 10-7 record while manning the No. 1 position in the lineup. Badon has gone undefeated in MW action, going 4-0 and dropping only a single set while having a further three matches abandoned while up a set. Badon also held a one-set lead on UNLV's Ilia Snitari, then ranked 61st in the ITA rankings, before the match was abandoned in the second set.

Calvelo has gone a team-best 16-2 in singles action this season while playing predominantly at the second position with the lone aberration being an appearance at No. 1 singles that ended one point away from victory. Calvelo is also undefeated in conference play, going 6-0 and six straight-set victories, and was in a second-set tiebreak in his seventh and final conference match in a bid for another victory.

Venger has posted a 14-3 singles record while appearing at No. 3 and 4 singles. Venger has also gone unbeaten against MW opponents, going 5-0 and dropping only one set. He has also had a further two matches in conference play left abandoned while leading by a set.
