LOGAN, Utah — Utah State track and field had 12 student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, the organization announced on Tuesday.

Natalie Swain earned recognition for their excellence in competition and in the classroom.
Bott, a junior from North Salt Lake, Utah, has a 3.50 GPA majoring in mechanical engineering. The two-time Academic All-Mountain West honoree and Mountain West Scholar-Athlete was also named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team in 2025.
Clark, a senior from Mona, Utah, graduated this spring with her bachelor's degree as a registered nurse with a 3.81 GPA. She was named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team in 2023 and is a three-time Mountain West Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Mountain West Honoree.
Ellis, a senior from Issaquah, Washington, has a 3.93 GPA majoring in environmental engineering. She was named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team in 2025 and is a seven-time Mountain West Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Mountain West honoree.
Fairbanks, a sophomore from Cedar Hills, Utah, has a 3.79 GPA majoring in elementary education. She received Academic All-Mountain West honors and was named a Mountain West Scholar-Athlete in 2024.
Garnica, a graduate senior from Springville, Utah has a 4.0 GPA majoring in psychology. He was previously a two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree and was a CSC Academic All-American in 2025. He earned the NCAA Elite 90 award at the 2024 NCAA Cross Country Championships for holding the highest cumulative GPA at the competition. He was awarded the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship in 2025. He is a six-time Mountain West Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Mountain West recipient. He was also named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team in 2025.
Hammer, a senior from Nampa, Idaho, graduated this spring with his bachelor's degree in veterinary science with a 3.62 GPA. This is his second appearance on the CSC Academic All-District team, along with his selection in 2025. He is a three-time recipient of Academic All-Mountain West honors, a two-time Mountain West Scholar Athlete, and was named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team in 2025
Jensen, a junior from Saratoga Springs, Utah, has a 3.84 GPA majoring in Data Analytics. In 2025, she was a CSC Academic All-District recipient and earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors. She has been named five times to the Academic All-Mountain West team and is a four-time Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.
Jones, a junior from Tremonton, Utah, has a 3.98 GPA majoring in psychology. He is a two-time Mountain West Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Mountain West honoree.
Petersen, a junior from Idaho Falls, Idaho, has a 3.94 GPA majoring in elementary education. She is a two-time Academic All-Mountain West recipient and Mountain West Scholar Athlete.
Rasmussen, a graduate senior from Meridian, Idaho, has a 3.93 GPA majoring in computer engineering. He previously earned CSC Academic All-District honors in 2025 and was selected to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team. He is a three-time Mountain West Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Mountain West honoree.
Richards, a senior from Perry, Ohio, graduated with his master's degree in computer science this spring with a 4.0 GPA. In 2025, he was named to the CSC Academic All-District and USTFCCCA All-Academic teams. He is a three-time Mountain West Scholar-Athlete and two-time Academic All-Mountain West selection.
Swain, a junior from South Jordan, Utah, has a 3.75 GPA majoring in Data Analytics. She is a five-time Mountain West Scholar-Athlete and has been named four times to the Academic All-Mountain West team.
