LOGAN, Utah – Utah State head volleyball coach Keith Smith announced the addition of Jaxon Herr as an assistant coach on Monday.

"Jaxon is just starting his coaching career and I could not be more excited to have it be here at Utah State," Smith said. "His passion for connection and volleyball along with his work ethic will set him up to have a great future in this sport."

Herr joins the Aggies fresh off a playing career as a setter at Grand Canyon and Penn State. In three years at GCU, Herr totaled over 900 assists while helping the Lopes to an MPSF championship in 2024 and back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances. Herr earned a pair of MPSF All-Academic Team honors while at Grand Canyon. At Penn State, Herr helped the Nittany Lions to an undefeated run through the EVIA conference, sweeping the regular season and tournament titles to earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament. Herr also won a U17 national championship at the club level prior to his collegiate career.
