LOGAN, Utah – Utah State head volleyball coach Keith Smith announced the addition of Mackenna Basore as a technical coordinator.

"Mackenna is easily one of the best tech coordinators in the country and is rapidly rising the ranks internationally," Smith said. "She has mostly moved on from college athletics but has decided to come back to help us this season. Her experience and expertise will provide significant value to our student-athletes' experience and will increase our ability as coaches."

Basore joins the Aggies after spending the past four years at Auburn as director of analytics and technical coordinator, helping the team go 73-43 and twice reaching the NCAA Tournament during her time with the Tigers.

She has also worked this past year as a technical operations coordinator for League One Volleyball in Nebraska where she managed all scouting, analysis and film for the team and staff. Basore has also worked the past three years for USA Volleyball in various roles, most recently as a performance analyst for the women's U19 and men's U23 teams in 2026. Additionally, Basore has worked as a remote analyst for VNL and Olympic matches and as a program analyst at the WNT Open Program.

Prior to Auburn, Basore served as the director of volleyball operations and technical coordinator at VCU. With Data Volley software, Basore captured real-time analytics during both practices and competition to assist the coaching staff in decision making.

Basore also served as a statistician and equipment manager at Colorado State from August 2017 until January of 2020.

She earned her bachelor's degree in business administration with a minor in sports management from Colorado State University in 2019 and a master's in sports leadership from VCU in 2022.
