LOGAN, Utah – Utah State head men's basketball coach Ben Jacobson announced the signing of transfer guard Dallin Hall on Tuesday. Hall will join the Aggies in 2026-27 as a graduate transfer, after playing three seasons at BYU then spending one year at Virginia in 2025-26. 

Hall, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound guard, has accumulated 97 starts in 136 games played during his college career. Across four seasons, he has totaled 986 points, 383 rebounds, 570 assists and 112 steals.

As a senior at Virginia last season, Hall started all 36 games and led the team in minutes played for a Cavaliers squad which went 30-6, finished as the runner-up in the ACC regular season standings as well as the ACC Tournament, and climbed as high as No. 9 in the AP Poll. Hall led the conference and ranked 19th nationally with a 3.27 assist-turnover ratio, totaling 157 assists with just 48 turnovers. He dished out five or more assists on 14 occasions, including going for a 12-point, 10-assist double-double at Georgia Tech. He scored a season-best 20 points on 8-of-8 shooting, to go along with six assists, three boards and three steals against Maryland.

While at BYU, Hall made 61 starts in three seasons, helping lead the Cougars to NCAA Tournament appearances twice including a trip to the Sweet 16 his sophomore year in 2023-24. That season, he was named All-Big 12 Honorable Mention as he averaged 9.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists in 29.1 minutes per game. He ranked third in the Big 12 that season with a 2.92 assist-turnover ratio and fourth in the league in assists per game (5.1). As a true freshman in 2022-23, Hall was named to the WCC All-Freshman Team after starting 21 games while his 1.9 assist-turnover ratio and 3.2 assists per game ranked third and sixth for a freshman in program history, respectively. 

Hall, a native of Plain City, Utah, prepped at Fremont High School where he was a three-time all-state selection and was named the state's 6A Mr. Basketball as a senior after averaging 22.9 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.8 assists per contest. That year, he led the Wolves to a 23-3 record and a state title. He was rated as a three-star recruit and the No. 67 point guard in the class of 2020 by 247Sports.

Following his prep career, Hall served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Fresno, California.
