Utah State Men’s Basketball Announces 2026-27 Nonconference Schedule

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State men's basketball announced the nonconference portion of its 2026-27 schedule on Monday, a slate which includes 16 regular season games plus three preseason exhibitions.

USU will unofficially open the season with a home exhibition against Denver on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. The Aggies will also play exhibitions on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Saint Mary's, and Saturday, Oct. 24, at home against Santa Clara. 

The 2026-27 campaign and the Ben Jacobson era at Utah State officially begin on Monday, Nov. 2, when the team hosts Idaho State. This will mark the first of five-straight home games to open the season. The Aggies will also host Omaha on Saturday, Nov. 7, Utah Tech on Tuesday, Nov. 10, UC San Diego on Friday, Nov. 13, and Weber State on Wednesday, Nov. 18. 

The Aggies will play in two multi-team events (MTEs) this season, including a Thanksgiving week trip to Palm Springs, California, for the Acrisure Series, where they will face SMU on Wednesday, Nov. 25, and USC on Thursday, Nov. 26. USU will then travel to Albuquerque, New Mexico, for a matchup against former conference mate New Mexico on Sunday, Nov. 29. 

Utah State opens the month of December at home with a game against Montana on Saturday, Dec. 5, then travels to Provo for an in-state battle against BYU on Wednesday, Dec. 9. USU will then host Winthrop on Saturday, Dec. 12. 

The Aggies' second MTE will be the Texas Legends College Classic, held at the Comerica Center in Frisco Texas. There, USU will take on Tulsa on Saturday, Dec. 19, and George Washington on Monday, Dec. 21. Following the Christmas holiday, Utah State will play its final home games of nonconference play when it hosts Pacific on Tuesday, Dec. 29, and concludes 2026 with a New Years Eve contest against Westminster on Thursday, Dec. 31. 

Conference play in USU's inaugural Pac-12 season will begin the first week of January. Utah State will take a break in conference play on Saturday, Feb. 20, to play its final nonconference game when it travels to take on Memphis. 

The team's full Pac-12 Conference slate, along with television schedule and tip times, will be released at a later date.
