LOGAN, Utah – Utah State football junior
Jimmy Liston has been named to the 2026 Outland Trophy Preseason Watch List, it was announced on Tuesday. Liston was one of 68 players named to the list.
Liston, a 6-foot-4, 300-pound offensive lineman from Hinsdale, Illinois, started all 13 games at center for the Aggies last season. He played a total of 853 snaps and recorded 37 knockdowns, including career-highs of 85 snaps against Fresno State and six knockdowns against each of Air Force, Fresno State and UNLV. He was ranked sixth in the nation among centers by Pro Football Focus (PFF) with a grade of 87.1 and did now allow a single sack or tackle for loss during the season. Liston earned Academic All-Mountain West honors in 2025.
The Outland Trophy is awarded to the nation's top interior offensive lineman as voted by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) All-America Committee after input from the association's full membership. Semi-finalists for the award will be announced on Nov. 18 with three finalists then announced on Nov. 24. The Outland Trophy award winner will be announced on

Utah State football begins its season at home on Saturday, Sept. 5, at 5 p.m. (MT), when the Aggies host Idaho State at Maverik Stadium. The game will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network. Season tickets, mini-plans and single-game tickets can be purchased through
