LOGAN, Utah – Utah State football junior Jimmy Liston has been named to the 2026 Rimington Trophy Watch List, it was announced on Thursday. Liston was one of 40 centers named to the list.

Liston, a 6-foot-4, 300-pound offensive lineman from Hinsdale, Illinois, started all 13 games at center for the Aggies last season. He played a total of 853 snaps and recorded 37 knockdowns, including career-highs of 85 snaps against Fresno State and six knockdowns against each of Air Force, Fresno State and UNLV. He was ranked sixth in the nation among centers by Pro Football Focus (PFF) with a grade of 87.1 and did now allow a single sack or tackle for loss during the season. Liston earned Academic All-Mountain West honors in 2025.

The Rimington Trophy is presented annually to the nation's most outstanding center. The watch list was curated by the Trophy committee using nominations from schools and data provided by Pro Football Focus (PFF). The Rimington Trophy winner will be determined by All-America postseason honors selected by the Walter Camp Foundation (WCF), Sporting News (SN) and the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA).

Utah State football begins its season at home on Saturday, Sept. 5, at 5 p.m. (MT), when the Aggies host Idaho State at Maverik Stadium. The game will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network. Season tickets, mini-plans and single-game tickets can be purchased through the USU Online Ticket Office.
