LOGAN, Utah – Utah State safety Brevin Hamblin was named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in USU's 21-10 home win against Troy on Saturday night.
It is the first time this year and second time in his career Hamblin has garnered conference player of the week honors.

Brevin Hamblin, Safety (6-5, 205, Sr., Syracuse, Utah/Syracuse HS/Utah Tech)
- Had a team-high 12 tackles for his first double-digit tackle outing of the season and the 11th of his career.
- Intercepted his first pass of the season and second of his career and returned it 33 yards.
- Part of a Utah State defense that forced a season-high three turnovers and held Troy to just 10 points, including zero points in the second half, and 4-of-13 on third down.
