KICKOFF COVERAGE
• Utah State is 6-74 all-time against Associated Press-ranked teams, but has won five of its last 25 games, including its 46-13 victory at No. 19 San Diego State in the 2021 Mountain West Championship game, which was its last win against an AP top 25 team. The highest-ranked team USU has ever defeated was at No. 18 BYU (35-20) in 2014. USU is 3-59 all-time on the road against AP top 25 teams.
• Utah State is 0-2 against AP Top 25 teams this year as it lost at No. 19 Washington (16-14) and at No. 17 Utah (33-0) on Sept. 12 and Sept. 19, respectively. This weekend will mark the seventh time in school history that USU has played at least three nationally ranked teams in the same season (1991, 2001, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2024, 2026). USU played a school record four nationally ranked teams in 2001 and 2008.
• Utah State is playing a nationally ranked Boise State team for the 11th time in the last 20 meetings in the series dating back to the 2006 season. USU is 1-9 in those previous 10 meetings, which includes a 52-26 home win against No. 21 Boise State on Oct. 16, 2015.
