2013-14 SEASON (JR): Returned to action in season-opener against USC (11/8/13) after missing final 26 games of last season with a medical situation... Played in 28 games... Averaged 3.2 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.8 assists in plying 11.8 minutes per game... Made 40.0 percent (32-of-80) of field goals, including 23.3 percent (7-of-30) from three-point range and 78.3 percent (18-of-23) at the free throw line... Netted season-high and tied career-high for third time with 17 points against Troy 12/21/13), adding six points in Pacific game (12/7/13), and five points in next two games, vs. Utah Valley (12/14/13) and Western Illinois (12/19/13), adding six points at UNLV (1/22/14)... Tied career-high with eight rebounds in USC game (11/8/13), adding seven against San Diego Christian (12/28/13), playing season-high 21 minutes in both games... Snared four or more rebounds in five games, highlighted by season-high and career-high tying eight boards vs. USC (11/8/13), adding seven against San Diego Christian (12/28/13) and five against Utah Valley (12/14/13)... 2012-13 SEASON (RS JR): Started first five games of season before collapsing in practice on Dec. 4 from full cardiac arrest, but was released from Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah on the morning of Dec. 8 and was on the bench with his teammates that night... Averaged 7.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game in 22.2 minutes of action per contest... Shot 40.0 percent from the floor (12-of-30), making 25.0 percent behind the arc (4-of-16) as well as 83.3 percent at the free throw line (10-of-12)... At time of medical situation, ranked sixth in WAC in free throw percentage... Posted double-digits in two games, tallying 10 against Saint Mary's (11/15) and season-high 11 points at Santa Clara (11/28), throwing down lone dunk of the season... Made season-high two three-pointers in both Saint Mary's (11/15) and Santa Clara (11/28) games... Snared three or more rebounds in each of last four games played, including season high five in two of last three games, against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (11/17) and Santa Clara (11/28)... Dished out at least two assists in four of five games played, distributing three helpers in both SMC (11/15) and TAMU-CC (11/17) games.

2011-12 SEASON (SO.): Started 25 of the final 31 games of the season after sitting out the first six games of the year as a potential redshirt... Finished the year averaging 6.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.35 assists per game, while shooting 37.2 percent from the field (64-of-172), 36.7 percent from three-point range (36-of-98), and 76.9 percent at the free throw line (40-of-52)... Played an average of 25.8 minutes per game... Ranked 11th in the WAC in three-point shooting and 13th in assists... Scored in double-figures 10 times during the season including a career-high tying 17 points against Oakland (3/25) in the semifinals of the CollegeInsider.com Tournament... Was 5-of-6 from behind the arc against Oakland tying Utah State's single-game postseason record for three-pointers made... That shooting percentage from three against OU (.833) is also tied for the ninth-best single-game performance in school history... Recorded a career-high eight rebounds against Idaho (2/24) and grabbed five-plus rebounds nine times during the year... Had a career-best six assists against Kent State (12/22) and dished out five or more assists four times during the season... Had a career-high three steals against Louisiana Tech (3/8) in the quarterfinals of the WAC Tournament to go along with a career-high 17 points... Played a career-high 36 minutes twice during the year... Led the team in rebounding twice and in scoring once.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Earned Southern Region first-team honors from the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges as he averaged 16.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 steals during his freshman season (2008-09) at Chemeketa (Ore.) Community College, and shot 53.2 percent from the field (141-of-265), 46.7 percent from three-point range (42-of-90) and 82.5 percent at the free throw line (80-of-97)... Scored in double-figures 22 times as a collegiate freshman... Also had six 20-point games during the season including a career-high 32 points against Clark College.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned first-team all-league and honorable mention all-state honors as a prep senior at North Medford (Ore.) High School as he set single-season school records for points scored (459) and three-pointers made (53)... As a prep senior, he averaged 17.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists, while shooting 50.8 percent from the field (135-of-266), 45.7 percent from three-point range (53-of-116) and 78.0 percent at the free throw line (96-of-123).

PERSONAL: Full name is Daniel Clarence Berger... Born in Fort Collins, Colo... One of three children of Brian and Diane Berger... Returned from a two-year LDS Church Mission in Detroit, Mich., in August, 2011... His sister, Lauren, played volleyball at Fresno State and his brother, John, played basketball at Dixie State College... Majoring in business administration.

DID YOU KNOW? His dad, who played college basketball at Nebraska and Pepperdine, was the head women's coach at Colorado State from 1986-90.
