His streak of 167 consecutive PATs made is also a school record... Ranks second all-time in school history in field goal percentage at 79.0 and with 81 field goal attempts... Is the only kicker in school history to have four or more 50-yard field goals in a career (52, 51, 51, 51)... Finished his career making 1-of-1 field goals from 10-19 yards, 23-of-26 field goals from 20-29 yards, 17-of-19 field goals from 30-39 yards, 19-of-28 field goals from 40-49 yards and 4-of-7 field goals from 50-plus yards.
SINGLE-SEASON RECORDS: Holds six single-season school records... As a junior in 2018, he scored a school-record 141 points with 75 extra points and 22 field goals, set the school record for points per game with his 10.8 average, and set the school record for extra points made (75) and attempted (75)… Also tied the school record in each of the past three seasons with perfect conversion percentages… As a senior in 2019, he set the school record for field goal percentage (.875), as he was 21-of-24, which ranks as the third-most made field goals made and tied for the fifth-most field goal attempts in school history... Scored 108 points as a senior and 101 points as a sophomore, to rank fifth and eighth all-time in school history, respectively... Was 22-of-28 on field goals as a junior, to rank second all-time in field goals made and first in field goals attempted... His field goal percentage of 78.6 as a junior ranks ninth all-time at USU... Was 18-of-24 on field goals as a sophomore, as both numbers ranks tied for fifth all-time in school history... Was 47-of-47 on PATs as a sophomore, to rank fourth and fifth all-time in school history in each category, respectively, and 45-of-45 on PATs as a senior, to rank fifth and sixth all-time in school history in each category, respectively.
SINGLE-GAME RECORDS: Set Utah State single-game records with his six made field goals, including three 51-yard field goals, and 24 points scored against New Mexico State (9/8/18)… Also tied his own school record with his six field goal attempts... His 52-yard field goal at San José State (9/23/17) is tied for the 10th-longest in school history.
NCAA RECORDS: Tied two NCAA records by a kicker against New Mexico State (9/8/18) as he scored 24 points and made three 51-yard field goals, becoming just the sixth player ever to kick three 50-plus yard field goals in a game… In all, Eberle made field goals from 44, 32, 51, 21, 51 and 51 yards against NMSU, as those six made field goals are tied for the third-most in a single-game in NCAA history.
MOUNTAIN WEST RECORDS: Holds seven Mountain West kicking records with 167 consecutive extra points made in a career, 64 made field goals in a career, 75 extra points made in a season (2018), 141 points scored in a season (2018), 24 points scored in a game (9/8/18), six made field goals in a game (9/8/18) and three 50-yard field goals in a game (9/8/18)... Ranks second all-time in Mountain West history with 359 points score by a kicker and is third all-time in league history in points scored by any player... Also ranks fifth all-time in MW history with his 167 career extra points.
2019 (Sr.): Named an honorable mention All-American by ProFootballFocus (PFF) and garnered first-team all-Mountain West honors as he ranked first in the MW and 29th in the nation in scoring (8.3 ppg), second in the MW and 12th in the nation in field goal percentage (.875) as he was 21-of-24, third in the MW and 18th in the nation in field goals made per game (1.62), and eighth in the MW in points responsible for per game (8.3)... Was also named a Second-Team Senior CLASS Award All-American... Set the single-season school record for field goal percentage, and ranked third and fifth, respectively, all-time in school history in field goals made and attempted... His 108 points scored are the fifth-most in a single-season in school history, while his 45 extra points made are also the fifth-most... Was named the MW Special Teams Player of the Week three times during the season against San Diego State, Fresno State and Wyoming... Scored 11 points against the Aztecs as he was 3-of-4 on field goals and 2-for-2 on PATs... Scored 13 points against the Bulldogs as he was 3-of-3 on field goals, which included the game-winning 30-yard field as time expired, and 4-for-4 on PATs... That game-winning field goal against FS was the first for USU since the 1998 season... Scored a season-high 14 points against the Cowboys as he was 4-of-5 on field goals and 2-for-2 on PATs... Also scored 14 points against Stony Brook as he was 2-of-2 on field goals and 8-for-8 on PATs... Made all 45 of his extra points... Finished the season making 5-of-5 field goals from 20-29 yards, 8-of-8 field goals from 30-39 yards, 8-of-10 field goals from 40-49 yards and was 0-of-1 on field goals from 50-plus yards… Kicked off 75 times (59.1 yards per kickoff) with 37 touchbacks.
2018 (Jr.): Earned honorable mention all-Mountain West honors from the league’s coaches and third-team all-MW honors from Phil Steele’s Magazine after serving as the team’s placekicker in all 13 games… Was also named a semifinalist for the Lou Groza Award as the nation’s top placekicker… Was named a Lou Groza Award Star of the Week, a College Football Performance Awards Honorable Mention National Performer of the Week and the Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week against New Mexico State (9/8) as he was a perfect 6-for-6 on field goals (44, 32, 51, 21, 51, 51) and 6-for-6 on PATs to set the school and MW record... Tied two NCAA records against NMSU with his 24 points scored by a kicker and his three 50-yard field goal in a single game... Also set school and MW records with his six made field goals and tied his own school record with six field goal attempts… Was also named the MW Special Teams Player of the Week following his performance against Colorado State (11/19) as he was a perfect 3-of-3 on field goal attempts (23, 26, 37) and 2-for-2 on extra points… Finished the season by scoring 141 points to set the school record, as well, as he was 22-for-28 on field goals and 75-for-75 on extra points, setting the school record for PATs made and attempted in a single-season… Also set the single-season school record with his 10.8 points per game average… Led the MW and was fourth in the nation in scoring (10.8 ppg), was first in the MW and ninth in the nation in field goals made (1.69 pg), was third in the MW and 37th in the nation in field goal percentage (.786), and was seventh in the MW and 69th in the nation in points responsible for with 141 (10.8 pg)… Was 22-of-28 (.786) on field goal attempts, ranking tied for first in school history in field goal attempts and second in made field goals, while his conversion percentage is eighth… Finished the season making 1-of-1 field goals from 10-19 yards, 8-of-10 field goals from 20-29 yards, 4-of-5 field goals from 30-39 yards, 6-of-7 field goals from 40-49 yards and 3-of-5 field goals from 50-plus yards… Began the season by making his first nine field goals… Kicked off 108 times (62.8 yards per kickoff) with 69 touchbacks to rank third nationally in both kickoffs and touchbacks... Earned academic all-Mountain West honors.
2017 (So.): Earned third-team All-America honors from Phil Steele’s Magazine and honorable mention All-America honors from SB Nation as he served as the team’s placekicker in all 13 games... Was also named a finalist for the Lou Groza Award, which is awarded annually to the top placekicker in college football, and garnered first-team all-Mountain West honors... Finished the season scoring a team-best 101 points as he was a perfect 47-of-47 on extra points and 18-of-24 (.750) on field goals... Set a then-single-game school record for points scored by a kicker with 19 at San José State (9/23) as he was 4-for-4 (23, 52, 20, 27) on field goals and 7-for-7 on extra points... Those 19 points scored were the second-most by a kicker in Mountain West history and the most by a non-senior at the time... His 52-yard field goal at SJSU is tied for the 10th-longest in school history... Made his first eight field goals during the season and 16 of his first 18 field goals overall... Was 3-of-3 on field goal attempts against Wyoming (10/14), including a 49-yarder... Finished the season making 8-of-9 field goals from 20-29 yards, 5-of-6 field goals from 30-39 yards, 4-of-8 field goals from 40-49 yards, to go along with his career-long 52-yarder... Made all 47 of his extra points during the season, including going 7-for-7 against both San José State and UNLV (10/21), and 6-for-6 against Idaho State (9/7)... Also kicked off 73 times for 4,405 yards (60.3 ypk) with 38 touchbacks... Earned academic all-Mountain West honors.
2016 (R-Fr.): Appeared in four games… Was 3-of-5 (.600) on field goal attempts and kicked off once… Made his Aggie debut at USC (9/10) as he kicked off one time for 43 yards… Was a perfect 3-of-3 on field goal attempts at Nevada (11/19) as he connected from 43 yards, which was a season long, and from 20 and 22 yards… Missed a 47-yard field goal in his only attempt at Wyoming (11/5) and missed a 46-yarder in his only attempt at BYU (11/26).
2015 (RS): Redshirted during his first season at Utah State.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) all-Bay League first-team honors as a junior in 2013 and senior in 2014 at Redondo Union High School in Redondo Beach, Calif... Tabbed Special Teams Player of the Year for his team during his junior and senior seasons... Was 7-for-10 on field goals and averaged 68 yards per kickoff as a senior... Also played soccer as a senior at Redondo Union HS, scoring six goals to help the Sea Hawks to an 11-10-3 record.
PERSONAL: One of two children of Güenther Eberle and Carmen Romero-Eberle... Last name is pronounced Eb-err-lee... Graduated from Utah State University in the fall of 2019 with a degree in international business and marketing.
