HONORS: FCS National Special Teams Player of the Week (9/24/16); Academic All-Big Sky Conference (2016); Academic All-Mountain West (2018).

2018 (JR): Played in all 13 games, serving as the team’s punter… Finished the season punting 46 times for 1,851 yards for an average of 40.2 yards per punt… Had 11 of his punts downed inside the 20-yard line and 14 other punts were fair caught, while only three of his punts were touchbacks… Also had six punts of at least 50 yards on the season, including a season-long 67-yarder against Air Force (9/22)… Also had a 54-yard punt against the Falcons and had two punts downed inside the 20-yard line… Averaged a season-best 48.3 yards on three punts, including a long of 50, against New Mexico State (9/8)… Also kicked off one time for 65 yards against NMSU… Kicked off three times for 195 yards (65.0 ypk) with two touchbacks against Tennessee Tech (9/13), while adding one PAT… Punted a season-high nine times at Wyoming (10/20) and had a season-best five of those punts fair caught, while a season-high three were downed inside the 20-yard line… Punted six times for an average of 44.5 yards per punt against North Texas in the New Mexico Bowl (12/15)… Had a 53-yard punt and one punt downed inside the 20-yard line against the Mean Green... Earned Academic All-Mountain West Honors.

PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Played in all 12 games for Weber State in 2016, helping the Wildcats to the FCS Playoffs... Finished the season 7-of-18 on field goal attempts and was 30-of-32 on extra points... Also had 58 kickoffs for an average of 62.5 yards per kick with 27 touchbacks... Finished the season eighth in the Big Sky in field goals made and was 10th in PAT percentage (.938)... Was named FCS National Special Teams Player of the Week after making three field goals, including the game-winner from 35 yards, at UC Davis (9/24/16)... During that game, he also knocked down a season-long 54-yard field goal, which ranks as the third longest in WSU history... Also made a 48-yard field goal in the win at Idaho State... Earned academic all-Big Sky honors... Redshirted at Weber State during the 2015 season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned first-team all-region honors at placekicker as a prep senior at Alta High School in Sandy, Utah, in 2015... Thirty of his 33 kicks were touchbacks during his senior season... Also earned academic all-region honors.    

PERSONAL: One of two sons of Mike and Tracy Hintze... His brother, Collin, played soccer at Westminster College... Majoring in marketing... Last name is pronounced Highnt-zee.
