2018 (SO): Played in nine games and finished the season with nine tackles (7-solo, 2-assist), which included 1.0 sacks and 2.0 tackles for loss, while adding one forced fumble, one blocked kick and one punt return for a touchdown… Had a season-high four tackles and blocked an extra point against North Texas in the New Mexico Bowl (12/15)… Returned a blocked punt 16 yards for his first-career touchdown against UNLV (10/13)… Had a career-high 2.0 tackles for loss and forced his only fumble of the season against San José State (11/10)… Added two tackles at No. 11 Michigan State (8/31) and had one stop at BYU (10/5)… Earned Academic All-Mountain West Honors.

2017 (RS-FR): Played in all 13 games, making two starts… Finished the season fifth on the team with 50 tackles (23-solo, 27-assist), which included 1.0 sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss, to go along with one interception, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one pass breakup and one quarterback hurry… Had a breakout game at San José State (9/23) as he had a sack, an interception that he returned 13 yards, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery on the same play, and three tackles… Became just the 15th FBS player since 2000 to record a sack, fumble recovery, forced fumble and interception in the same game… Had a season-high 11 tackles against Boise State (10/28), which included a season-best 1.5 tackles for loss… Added six stops and a pass breakup at New Mexico (11/4), and posted five tackles each against BYU (9/29), UNLV (10/21) and Hawai’i (11/18)… Recorded at least one tackle in 12 games during the year and had three or more stops in 10 games… Earned CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII honors, academic all-Mountain West honors and was a Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.

2016 (RS): Redshirted during his first season at Utah State.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was named the Utah Valley Offensive Most Valuable Player by the Daily Herald and the Utah Class 5A Region 4 Most Valuable Player at quarterback as a prep senior at Lone Peak (Utah) High School as he was 146-of-258 passing (.566) for 2,041 yards with 13 touchdowns and 15 interceptions... Had two 200-yard passing games during the season, including a season-high 274 passing yards against Lehi HS... Also earned Utah Class 5A second-team honors by the Salt Lake Tribune and honorable mention all-state honors from the Deseret News as a senior as he rushed for 1,516 yards on 212 carries (126.3 ypg/7.2 ypc) with 22 touchdowns and had seven 100-yard rushing games, including a career-best 237 yards on 26 carries (9.1 ypc) against American Fork HS... Scored a career-high-tying four rushing touchdowns against Bountiful HS... Earned Utah Class 5A second-team honors at quarterback by the Salt Lake Tribune as a junior at Lone Peak HS as he completed 183-of-289 passes (.633) for 2,204 yards with 19 touchdowns and nine interceptions... He also had five 200-yard passing games, including a career-high 311 passing yards and a career-best three touchdown passes against Timpview HS... Rushed for 1,155 yards on 212 carries (5.4 ypc) as a junior with 13 touchdowns and had seven 100-yard rushing games... Had a career-high four rushing touchdowns against American Fork HS... Finished his prep career ranking in the top 10 all-time in the state of Utah with 7,679 total yards... Was a member of the honor roll. 

PERSONAL: One of four children of Mark and JusDean Gajkowski... His brother, Mason, played football at Utah State from 2015-17... His father played linebacker at BYU from 1981-84... His cousins, Tyler and TJ Haws, played basketball at BYU, as did his uncle, Marty Haws... Returned from a two-year LDS Church Mission in South Carolina, in May of 2016... Majoring in finance... Is married to Annie Racker... Last name is pronounced Guy-Cow-ski.
