HONORS: College Sports Madness Third-Team All-American (2013); First-Team All-Mountain West (2013); Phil Steele First-Team All-Mountain West (2013); College Sports Madness Second-Team All-Mountain West (2013); Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week (10/4/13; 11/9/13); College Football Performance Awards Honorable Mention National Defensive Back of the Week (10/12/13); Second-Team All-WAC (2012).

2013 (SR): Played in all 14 games, starting 13... Earned third-team All-American honors from College Sports Madness and was named first-team all-Mountain West after ranking third in the conference and 25th in the nation in passes defended (1.21 pg), and tied for eighth in the conference and tied for 82nd in the nation in interceptions (0.29 pg)... Was named the Mountain West's Defensive Player of the Week twice during the year against Boise State (10/12) and against UNLV (11/9)... Recorded a career-high two interceptions against the Broncos, returning one 65 yards for his first career touchdown, while adding a career-high five passes defended and tying his career-high with nine tackles... Against the Rebels, he recorded four tackles, including one for loss on a fake field goal, to go along with two pass breakups and one interception in the end zone... Added a career-high five pass breakups against Hawai'i (11/2)... Finished the year first on the team in passes defended (17) as he had 13 pass breakups and four interceptions, which ranked first and second on the team, respectively... Also tied for fifth on the team in total tackles with 57 (33-solo, 24-assist), and was sixth on the team with 5.0 tackles for loss... Added one forced fumble during the season against Fresno State (12/7) in the championship game of the Mountain West... Recorded four or more tackles in eight games, and had three games with multiple passes defended.

2012 (JR): Started all 13 games... Earned second-team all-WAC honors as he ranked eighth on the team and 36th in the conference with 63 tackles (4.8 pg)... Also ranked second on the team and ninth in the WAC with 10 passes defended (0.77 pg)... Had 4.0 tackles for loss including his first two career sacks at San Jose State (10/13) as USU set a single-game school record with 13 sacks in the contest.... Also had one quarterback hurry on the season and a fumble recovery against Idaho (11/24)... Recorded five or more tackles in nine games, including a season-high eight at SJSU.

2011 (SO): Started all 12 regular-season games, while playing in all 13 and anchoring the secondary throughout the year... Ranked fourth overall on the team with 73 tackles, along with 10 pass breakups and one interception, sealing USU's win at New Mexico State (12/3), for second career interception in the waning moments to seal a victory, also doing so in 2010 at San Jose State (11/13/10)... Ranked 10th in WAC and 78th in FBS for passes defended (0.85 pg)... Also credited with forcing a fumble at Idaho (11/19) and recovering a fumble at Hawai'i (11/5)... Logged a career-best nine tackles at Nevada (11/26), while posting eight against San Jose State (11/12) and again versus Ohio (12/17) in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

2010 (FR): Appeared in nine games, making two starts during the season... Made 12 total tackles (7-solo, 5-assists) while also contributing one interception, one half of a sack and one pass breakup... Posted a season-high three tackles on two separate occasions in road games against Nevada (10/30) and San Jose State (11/13)... Made game-clinching interception in the end zone versus San Jose State, earning him a nomination for the WAC's Defensive Player of the Week.

HIGH SCHOOL: A two-year two-way starter at both cornerback and running back, as well as returning kickoffs and punts for Piper (Fla.) High School... Named second-team all-Broward County... Posted 68 tackles with three interceptions in eight games at cornerback for the Bengals... Registered 41 carries for 526 yards and eight touchdowns at running back... Also had two punt returns for touchdown... Selected to the Broward County North-South All-Star Game, where he registered eight tackles and did not give up a pass reception... Also named to the Miami-Dade/Broward All-Star game, recording one interception and two pass break-ups, not yielding a pass reception in helping Broward County to the win... Named the Bengals team MVP... Also a letterwinning sprinter in track & field.

PERSONAL: One of three sons of Clive and Jennifer Lawson... Graduated from Utah State in the fall of 2013 with an interdisciplinary studies degree emphasizing in health and wellness.
