HONORS: Honorable Mention All-Mountain West (2013).

2013 (SR): Earned honorable mention all-Mountain West honors as he started 13 straight games before missing the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl... Recorded a career-high 11 tackles in season-opener at Utah... Had eight or more tackles in five games during the season... Also had a career-high 1.5 sacks and a career-best two pass breakups against the Utes... Intercepted his first career pass against San José State and forced fumbles in back-to-back games against BYU and Boise State... Recovered his first career fumble at Fresno State in the Mountain West Championship game... Ranked 32nd in the Mountain West and first among safeties with 6.2 tackles per game... Finished the season ranking fourth on the team with 80 tackles (40-solo, 40-assist) and fourth in tackles for loss with 9.0... Was also fourth on the team with 3.5 sacks and fourth with six pass breakups, while his two forced fumbles tied for first on the team.

2012: Was not a member of the football team.

2011 (JR): Started eight games and played in 12 during his first season at Utah State... Finished the year tied for sixth on the team with 45 tackles (27-solo, 18-assists)... Ranked third on the team with 3.0 sacks and fifth with 7.0 tackles for loss... Also had two quarterback hurries and one pass breakup... Recorded five or more tackles six times during the year, including a season-high eight at BYU (9/30) and against Nevada (11/26)... Posted his sacks against Weber State (9/10), Colorado State (9/24) and Louisiana Tech (10/21).

JUNIOR COLLEGE: A two-time first-team all-Western States Football League and first-team all-Region I selection at Arizona Western College, helping the Matadors to back-to-back league championships, including a 10-2 record in 2010, playing in the Texas Bowl after playing in the Mississippi Bowl the year before, the first back-to-back bowl appearances for Arizona Western since 1980-81... Led the WSFL and ranked 19th in National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) with 98 tackles, including 19.0 for loss with 8.0 sacks, four pass break-ups, one interception and one forced fumble... The 19.0 tackles for loss was second in the NJCAA, while the 116 yards loss ranked first... Finished two-year career with 179 tackles, 15.0 sacks and four interceptions.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a two-year all-state Missouri 5A, two-time all-conference and two-year all-metro honoree at Eureka (Mo.) High School, helping the Wildcats to a pair of district championships, advancing to the state semi-finals twice... Posted 134 tackles with 18.0 sacks his senior season... Also an all-state performer in wrestling and track, finishing third at the state wrestling championships.

PERSONAL: Son of Maurice Alexander and Lynette McAlpine... Has two brothers and two sisters... Graduated from Utah State in the fall of 2013 with an interdisciplinary studies degree emphasizing in sociology and physical education.
