HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Brighton High School in Sandy, Utah, where he led the Bengals to a runner-up finish in the Utah 5A State finals as a senior… Averaged 22.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 0.9 steals per game as a senior, earning first-team all-state honors by the Deseret News… Averaged 18 points and six rebounds per game as a junior, despite missing half the year with injuries, as the Bengals advanced to the state semifinals… Scored 20 or more points in a game seven times during his junior year… Started for USA basketball and was one of the top scorers during the Albert Schweitzer games in the summer of 2014, serving as a team captain… Helped Brighton HS to a Region 1 championship during his sophomore year.
