2021 (FR): Earned first-team all-Mountain West honors... Played in and started all 44 games… Batted a team-high .315 with 41 hits in 130 at-bats… Had multiple hits in 12 games... Finished the year with five doubles, a team-best two triples and two home runs... Hit a grand slam against San Diego State (April 25), recording five RBIs in the game… Scored 15 runs and batted in 17... Led the team with a .357 on-base percentage... Was walked eight times and hit by a pitch twice… Hit three sac flies and had one stolen base... Record 61 putouts and 86 assists with a .980 fielding percentage... Was named an NFCA/Easton Scholar-Athlete... Earned academic all-MW honors and was named a MW Scholar-Athlete... Was also a Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete Award recipient.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a three-year letterwiner at Mater Dei Catholic High School in Chula Vista, California... Hit .219 (16-of-73) on her career and was walked 14 times... Played in six games as a senior before the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic... Helped her team to the 2019 California Interscholastic Federation Open Division championship... Played club softball with the EC Bullets.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Abel and Perla Castruita... Has three younger brothers and one younger sister... Majoring in nursing.
