2021 (5TH): Earned all-Mountain West singles honors... Recorded an 8-8 overall singles record, playing in the No. 1 spot... Posted a 1-3 singles record against conference opponents... Recorded the match-clinching point against Colorado Mesa (Feb. 20), Northern Arizona (March 8) and Grand Canyon (March 9)... Posted an 8-6 doubles record, going 4-3 at each of the Nos. 2 and 3 spots... Competed with Souf El Mesbahi (5-4), Arvid Hjalte (1-1) and Keanu Rigby (1-1).

2020 (SR): Earned all-Mountain West singles honors as he recorded an 8-10 overall singles record, including a 7-7 record in dual match play at the Nos. 1 and 2 spots… Won seven of his final 10 matches at the No. 2 position… Earned the match-clinching point against Weber State (Feb. 28) with a straight-sets win (Feb. 28)… Posted a 4-11 record in doubles competition, including a 2-8 record in dual matches at the Nos. 1 and 2 spots… Competed with Arvid Hjalte (4-5), Javier Ruiz (0-2) and Roko Savin (0-4)… The remainder of the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2019 (JR): Posted an overall mark of 15-14 in singles action, including 10-9 in dual match play at the Nos. 2 through 4 spots... Posted a 2-1 singles record against Mountain West opponents... Won a season-high five-straight matches from Jan. 2 to Feb. 15, playing exclusively at the No. 2 spot... Recorded a 12-16 mark in doubles play, including 12-12 in the dual match season... Competed with Rithvik Bollipalli (8-11), Duro Opacic (4-2), Mitch Johnson (0-2) and Daniel Bushamuka (0-1).

2018 (SO): Earned all-Mountain West singles honors... Posted an overall mark of 20-17 in singles, including 14-7 in dual match play at the Nos. 1 through 3 spots... Finished the season as the ITA’s No. 10-ranked player in the Mountain Region... Posted a 5-1 singles record against MW opponents... Recorded the match-clinching point a team-best five times, including matches against Boise State (Feb. 4), Montana State (Feb. 18), Air Force (April 15), Boise State (April 26) and Fresno State in the MW Championship match (April 28)... Recorded a 7-16 mark in doubles play, including 2-9 in the dual match season... Competed with Valdemar Holm (5-5), Jose Carvajal (1-0), Andrew Nakajima (1-2), Felipe Acosta (0-2) and Samuel Serrano (0-7).

2017 (FR): Tied a school record by winning 13 consecutive singles decisions to end the season, pushing his overall record to 18-8 in dual matches while playing in the Nos. 4 and 5 spots, after joining the team in the spring semester... The 18 dual-match wins led the team, as did his perfect 6-0 mark against Mountain West foes... Provided the match-clinching point five times, doing so against UC Irvine (Jan. 14), Wichita State (Jan. 28), Arizona (Feb. 10), Weber State (April 7), and Boise State in the MW Tournament (April 28)... Recorded a 2-5 mark in doubles playing at the third position... Competed with Jaime Barajas (2-4) and Kai Wehnelt (0-1).

HIGH SCHOOL: Was ranked as high as No. 1,186 by the Association of Tennis Professionals... Defeated the No. 480 player, Claudio Fortuna, in the Sibiu Challenger tournament... Had offers from Oklahoma, Wake Forest, Fresno State, Boise State and Miami.

PERSONAL: Only child of Ioan and Verginia Bucur... Majoring in May, 2021 with a degree in integrated studies... Name is pronounced Ser-G-O Buh-KERR.
