2015 (SR): Played in nine games during the season with four starts… Finished the year with 20 tackles (10-solo, 10-assist), which included 1.0 sacks… Also had one fumble recovery and one pass breakup, to go along with a blocked punt at Fresno State (10/10)… Had four tackles against both New Mexico (11/7) and Nevada (11/21)… His lone sack on the season was against BYU (11/28)… Had two tackles and one pass breakup against Akron (12/22) in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl… His fumble recovery was against then-No. 21 Boise State (10/16)… Was credited with an 18-yard punt return following his blocked punt at Fresno State.

2014 (JR): Played in 12 games, making three starts... Finished the season with 20 tackles (17-solo, 3-assist), which included 4.0 sacks and 6.0 tackles for loss... Ranked fifth on the team in sacks and tied for eighth in tackles for loss... Was also tied for fifth on the team with five pass breakups... Had at least one tackle in 10 of the 12 games he played in and recorded a season-high six stops against Idaho State (9/6)... Sacks were against Colorado State (10/18), UNLV (10/25), Hawai'i (11/1) and San José State (11/21)... Also had tackles for loss against ISU and at No. 18 BYU (10/3)... Had a season-high three pass breakups against Idaho State.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Earned California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) first-team all-state and first-team all-Nor-Cal Conference honors in the Northern California Football Association (NCFA) as a sophomore at the San Mateo (Calif.) College... During his sophomore season at San Mateo College, Hayes recorded 17 total tackles (15-solo, 2-assist) and led the Bulldogs with four interceptions, returning one 71 yards for a touchdown against San Joaquin Delta JC... He also had interceptions against Chabot JC, Foothill JC and De Anza JC during the 2013 season... Overall, he finished his sophomore season with 122 return yards on those four interceptions to go along with eight pass breakups and 1.0 tackle for loss... Also returned four punts for 25 yards and one kickoff for 11 yards in helping led the Bulldogs to a 10-1 record and a 75-9 win against American River JC in the Bothman Bulldog Bowl.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Compton High School in Compton, Calif., and earned second-team all-Moore League honors as a senior as he recorded 19 total tackles to go along with three pass breakups and one interception... Offensively, he rushed for 238 yards on 47 carries with three touchdowns, and was 2-of-5 passing for 19 yards with one touchdown.

PERSONAL: Son of Bryant Hayes and Carla Moore... Has three sisters and one brother... Attended the same junior college as current Aggie senior cornerback Deshane Hines... Will graduate from Utah State in the spring of 2016 with an interdisciplinary studies degree emphasizing in sociology.
