Biography

2019 (JUNIOR SEASON): Played in all 13 games and finished the season with 19 tackles (4-solo, 15-assist), which included 0.5 sacks, to go along with one quarterback hurry… Had a career-high five tackles at New Mexico (11/30)… Had 0.5 sacks at Fresno State (11/9)… Added four tackles against No. 20 Boise State (11/23) and had two stops against Kent State (12/20) in the Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl… Also had two tackles each against Stony Brook (9/7), Colorado State (9/28) and No. 5 LSU (10/5)… His lone quarterback hurry during the season was against Wyoming (11/16).

2018 (SOPHOMORE SEASON): Played in 12 games and finished the season with nine tackles (2-solo, 7-assist), which included 1.0 sacks and 3.0 tackles for loss, to go along with one quarterback hurry… Had a season-high three tackles against Tennessee Tech (9/13), which included a career-best 1.5 tackles for loss… Had 1.0 sacks as part of his two tackles at No. 21 Boise State (11/24)… Had 0.5 tackles for loss and one quarterback hurry against North Texas in the New Mexico Bowl (12/15)… Also had two tackles at Colorado State (11/17) and one tackle against Air Force (9/22).

2017 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN SEASON): Did not appear in any games.

2016 (REDSHIRT): Redshirted during his first season at Utah State.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned Utah Class 4A first-team all-state honors from both the Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News as a prep junior and was the Region 5 Defensive Line MVP as he accumulated 94 tackles (32 solo, 62 assists) and 3.0 sacks, while forcing three fumbles and recovering one in helping Logan (Utah) High School win the 4A state championship... Was the top tackler in 4A among all defensive linemen... Earned first-team all-region honors as a sophomore and was an all-valley selection as both a sophomore and junior... Also lettered four years in lacrosse... A member of the honor roll... Did not play during his senior season due to injury. 

PERSONAL: One of four children of Roger and Mindy Andersen... Served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Detroit, Mich... Uncle, Dennis Wildman, was a linebacker at Utah State from 1986-88... Cousin, Jacoby Wildman, played football at USU from 2015-19... Graduated from USU in the fall of 2020 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science.
