Brad Vonnahme (Vuh-nah-me) is in his first season as an administrative assistant for Utah State and in his third year with the program. In his role, Vonnahme assists with the daily operations of the defense and special teams. Duties include film breakdown, compilation of reports, assisting defensive coordinator Kevin Clune, as well as special teams coordinator Dave Ungerer, and any other administrative duties as assigned by the head coach or position coaches.
Vonnahme comes to Utah State after spending one year as a graduate assistant at Hawai’i.
Prior to Hawai’i, Vonnahme was the linebackers coach and special teams coordinator at Midland University in Fremont, Neb. He also assisted with the strength and conditioning program. Prior to that, he was a graduate assistant at Wayne State College in Wayne, Neb., from 2011-12.
Previously, Vonnahme spent two years at Utah State (2009-10) as the defensive/staff administrative assistant as his duties included film breakdown, preparing scouting reports, and running the scout teams.
From 2006-08, Vonnahme served as a student manager at Nebraska before transferring to USU, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies in 2011. He also earned a master’s degree in sport management from Wayne State in 2013.
Vonnahme is a native of Omaha, Neb., and his wife’s name is Ashley. He played linebacker and running back at Mount Michael Benedictine High School.
