Bowling helped Utah State to its third-straight bowl game, including its 11th in the last 13 years, as it played in the 2023 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Bowling coached a pair of all-Mountain West performers in Jalen Royals (first team) and Terrell Vaughn (second team). Royals was also named a third-team College Football Network All-American as he set the single-season school record with 15 touchdown receptions, which were the second-most in the nation. Royals also became just the 13th player in school history with 1,000 receiving yards in a season with 1,080. Following the season, Vaughn was invited to the Seattle Seahawks rookie mini-camp.

Utah State finished the 2023 season 25th in the nation in total offense (438.6 ypg), 26th in scoring (33.2 ppg), 30th in rushing offense (184.4 ypg) and 43rd in the nation in passing offense (254.2 ypg).

Bowling spent his final season of collegiate football with Utah State as he helped the Aggies to their best season in school history as they tied the school record with 11 wins (11-3), won their first-ever MW Championship with a 46-13 victory at No. 19 San Diego State, posted a 24-13 win against Oregon State in the Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl and finished the year ranked 24th in the nation.

During the 2021 campaign, Bowling played in all 14 games and made six starts as he finished the season with 56 receptions for 835 yards (14.9 ypr/59.6 ypg). He also had three 100-yard receiving games and 10 touchdowns to rank second on the team in each category. His 10 touchdown catches are tied for the seventh-most in a season in school history.

Prior to Utah State, Bowling spent five seasons at Arkansas State (2016-20), as he played in 32 games with nine starts, and caught 82 passes for 878 yards (10.7 ypr) and nine touchdowns. He earned honorable mention all-Sun Belt Conference honors in 2020, as he started nine of 11 games and finished the season with 39 receptions for 507 yards and seven touchdowns. Following the 2020 campaign, he ranked sixth in the Sun Belt in receiving touchdowns, 12th in total receptions and 13th in receiving yards as his seven touchdown catches tied for the eighth-most in school history for a single season.

Prior to college, Bowling earned first-team all-District 6-6A recognition at wide receiver as both a junior and senior at Boyd High School in McKinney, Texas. As a senior, he was named the 2015 All-Collin County Utility Player of the Year.

Bowling earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management from Arkansas State in 2020.
