Connor Gorny is in his second year as an assistant strength and conditioning coach and sports scientist for Utah State football.
Gorny came to Utah State from Columbia University, where he spent two years (2017-19) as a master’s candidate studying exercise physiology. During his time at Columbia, Gorny completed three strength and conditioning internships.
At Utah, he was the sports science and strength and conditioning intern for the summer of 2018 working with men’s basketball and assisting with fall football camp.
A second internship was with St. Francis College in Brooklyn, N.Y., working with a multitude of sports teams. Lastly, he completed an internship with Columbia, working with men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s tennis, wrestling and squash.
The native of Schererville, Ind., completed his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Ball State in 2016 and his masters degree from Columbia University in 2019 is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
