Hayden Mace is in his first season with Utah State football as a defensive graduate assistant. In his role, Mace will assist the defensive coaches with daily football operations, primarily working with the linebackers.
Mace comes to Utah State after spending the past two seasons as a quality control coach at Eastern Washington. During the 2018 campaign, the Eagles went 12-3, captured the Big Sky Conference title and played in the FCS Championship Game.
Prior to Eastern Washington, Mace volunteered as an offensive analyst at his alma mater, Linfield College, a Division III school in McMinnville, Ore., in 2016.
The native of Bend, Ore., earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Linfield in 2012. Mace was a four-year letterwinner and captain for the Wildcats, helping the team capture three Northwest Conference titles under head coach Joe Smith.
Mace is married to the former Katie Paradis.
