HIGH SCHOOL: Earned Utah Class 3AA North first-team all-state honors at quarterback from the Deseret News and second-team all-state honors from the Salt Lake Tribune and was named the North Region MVP as a prep senior at Juan Diego High School in Draper, Utah... As a prep senior, he completed 73-of-120 passes (.608) for 1,196 yards with 12 touchdowns and just two interceptions... Also carried the ball 126 times for 1,015 yards (8.1 ypc/84.6 ypg) with 18 touchdowns... Caught one pass for a 68 yard touchdown... Returned four kickoffs for 95 yards (23.8 ypr) and one punt for 56 yards... Defensively, he posted 87 tackles, which included 4.0 sacks... During his senior year, he helped the Soaring Eagle to an 11-1 record and their 11th straight region title as their only loss came in the state semifinal game in overtime...
