Biography

HONORS: Allstate AFCA Good Works Team® Candidate (2011); Academic All-WAC (2009, 2010)

2010 (JR): Saw action in all 12 games, making eight starts... Finished the season second on the team with 20 passes caught, gaining 218 yards and scoring one touchdown through the air... Had at least one reception in 10 of the 12 games, including a stretch of 16-straight games dating back to 2009 season... Also carried the ball five times for 40 yards and one touchdown... Served as the team's primary punt return man, returning 12 punts for a total of 35 yards... Posted a season-high 65 yards on three catches, including a 15-yard touchdown catch, in USU's home-opener versus Idaho State... Also the holder on nearly all of the extra points and field goals.

2009 (SO): Played in all 12 games, starting two... Made first career start vs. Nevada... Had at least one catch in all 12 games, tallying 27 receptions on season, ranking third among wide receivers and fourth overall... Totaled 400 receiving yards, ranking third on team... Caught first career TD pass in Nevada game... Had career-best four catches in New Mexico State and Fresno State games... Tallied career-high 70 yards in Boise State game including career-long 46-yard pass play.

2008 (FR): Did not see any action... Named Offensive Scout Player of the Year.

PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Suited up for all six home games at Air Force but did not see any action, and was granted a redshirt year.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned second-team all-state and first-team all-conference honors as a senior after leading Thunder Ridge HS to state championship, where he was named the title game's MVP after having 130 yards receiving and two touchdowns... His junior season he also earned honorable mention all-state and first-team all-conference accolades, also helping Grizzlies to state title... Also competed in basketball, baseball and track & field... Part of state championship baseball team as a sophomore... Earned academic all-state honors.

PERSONAL: Born Oct. 9, 1987 in Denver, Colo... Son of Bill and Shelley Moats... Has three sisters and one brother... A dual major in marketing and economics.
