JUNIOR COLLEGE: Appeared in one game before suffering a season-ending injury during his sophomore season at Mesa Community College (MCC)... Caught eight passes for 118 yards and one touchdown prior to his injury... Was one of 68 student-athletes from 37 teams from the Maricopa Community Colleges to earn academic recognition from the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA)... Played in all 11 games for Mesa CC as a freshman, finishing the season with eight catches for 55 yards... Was a Presidential Scholar, an honors grad and on the Dean’s List for four semesters at Mesa CC... Had the highest GPA on the team in 2013 and 2014.

HIGH SCHOOL: Caught 30 passes for 298 yards and a touchdown during senior season at Red Mountain High School in Mesa, Ariz... Also participated in track and field.

PERSONAL: Son of Rob and Michele Cortazzo... Has two brothers and a twin sister... Brother, Trenton, played football at Mesa CC for two seasons before transferring to Cornell... Last name is pronounced Core-taz-oo... Majoring in economics.
